Master Beekeeper Program
(Pre-release registration for Apprentice course and full program starting on 15 March 2026)
When I decided to pursue a master beekeeping certification, my goal was simple: to learn and become the best beekeeper I could be. As a disabled veteran and former first responder, I quickly discovered that many traditional programs were impractical or completely inaccessible. I also knew I was not alone. There are many beekeepers who want to deepen their knowledge but face physical, emotional, or logistical barriers that make conventional programs difficult or impossible. This program was built for them, and for anyone else who wants a more flexible, intelligent, and supportive path to beekeeping mastery.
We designed the curriculum from the ground up by combining the strongest elements of more than a dozen respected master beekeeping programs across the United States, then removing unnecessary barriers without lowering standards. Every lesson, requirement, and skill was developed in collaboration with a team of master beekeepers and guided by a former college professor with a PhD and more than twenty years of experience in adult education. I was the first student to complete the program as it was built, and I continue to test and refine each section before release.
Accessibility goes beyond simply meeting the minimum legal requirements. While most programs stop at ADA compliance, we go further by building in alternate assessments, modified assignments, and personalized solutions to remove barriers entirely. This is not about checking boxes. It is about making sure you succeed.
Another common obstacle is cost. When I wanted to take my apprentice and journeyman exams, they were only offered at state association meetings in the spring or fall. The tests themselves were inexpensive, but the added expenses were not. Conference registration, hotel stays, meals, and travel pushed the total cost of each testing weekend to about three hundred fifty dollars. By the time I reached the Master level I would have spent more than a thousand dollars just to sit for exams. Those kinds of hidden costs put quality education out of reach for many beekeepers.
Our program removes those roadblocks entirely. It is 100 percent online, with no travel requirements and no expiration dates. You can move through the material at your own pace, from anywhere, and you retain access to updates and refinements as the program evolves. Weekly office hours are available if you need clarification, feedback, or help working through a challenge. This is not a passive course. You will have direct access to me, Jeff, the founder of Beekeeping For Newbees™.
With this program, you do not have to choose between quality and accessibility. You avoid hidden costs and outdated structures while gaining a clear, supportive path forward. Whether you are just getting started, returning after time away, or working toward the Master level, this program was built to meet you where you are and help you become a stronger, more confident beekeeper.
